My first experiences with dogs were with Chiuauas. My husband and I recently bought a Shiba Inu that we really love. However while we were waiting we encountered the cutest and friendliest Chiuaua. My husband since then is now open to the idea of someday having Chiuauas. We are looking into breeding our Shiba but there are many things to think about even if she turns out to be a dog that could be bred. For one I have osteo Arthritis and as I age handling powerful Shibas probably won't be the best breed for me in say 15 to 20 years. My mother is 88 and her mother lived to be 90 so if I follow the same pattern my retirement will be lengthy so I plan to be busy with lots of hobbies. After experiencing the Shiba forum after owning a Shiba I decided this time I would try researching in this way. I have lots of time to research as my Shiba is only 4 months so we won't be adding another dog for awhile.
