Because of spammers all new members have their first 3 threads/posts moderated and they won't actually appear until they've been validated by a moderator. Just so you know there isn't anything wrong with the site or your computer There's also a certain amount of time after your 5th post has been validated that the site needs to catch up so if you notice your 6th post doesn't appear right away that's why.
