Welcome Elizabeth and Aidan!
I know I had a question about ears after we got our second chi, Miley. Our older chi, Reese, had standing ears when we got him at 12 weeks and they never fell. Mileys werent standing at 12 weeks, or even at 4months. Id always heard it was normal for some chis to have ears that stood and then fell as they grew, teethed, etc, but Mileys just werent standing period. Finally one came up, then the other, without us having to do anything to help them (taping, etc). He may just be a late bloomer when it comes to ears!
Look forward to seeing some pics!

Hello & welcome! Yeah, sometimes it can take up to 7mo or so for ears to stand & some Chi's ears never stand. As long as your not planning on showing it doesn't matter. I have 2 Chi's with floppy-ish ears. While I love perky Chi ears...my 2 boys wouldn't be the same without their crazy ears! hehe I hope you stick around & share some pics of your baby!

BTW, we have a "tiger striped" Chi too. The markings are called brindling. I never used to care much for it until we got Maya...now I think brindles are cool. LOL

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and advice. Sorry I haven't replied before now but its been a crazy few days. I have a couple of pics of Aidyn but they aren't that great, he won't sit still long enough outside for the pic to take well. lol. On Wednesday we were getting ready to leave, I was picking up my purse and Aidyn thought I was picking him up and got excited and then fell off the bed! He ended up breaking one of his hind legs and I get to go get him from the vet in an hour. I feel horrible about it. The nurse said that he has been chewing the end of his splint off, so I know at least he feels somewhat alright. I'm afraid this is going to set him back, he was just starting to come out of his shy shell with me, and play like a puppy should, now though he won't be able to move much. I'll post more later after I know exactly how long his recovery will be.
