apple and carrot are fine to give in small amounts..but since your dog had loose stool i would not give it to her and I would cut her food down and let the runny poop go through. I have even dont a no eating for 24 hours but water...you can also boil chicken and white rice and give her that...but the apple and carrot most likely up set her tummy...it will be a few days for it to be out of her system. their is also other things to try...but those are what i would do first..good luck

Thank you for looking at Petria's pics, I think she is gorgeous but all the babies here are too. I didn't think of her anal gland and I did know about that from past babies, thank you for reminding me. I used to be able to do that for one of my Chi's ages ago but my last little 12 year that passed away this past January wriggled so much I couldn't do it for her. I may try to do it for Petria, failing that I will ask the Vet.
Thanks again.
Joan.

Don't know where my posts are disappearing to, just sent another one that is not here. Wanted to thank you for reminding me about the anal glands. I used to do that for one of my little ones so if I can't do it for Petria will ask the Vet.
Many thanks, Joan.

I think it is probably the diet change, Zoey has a cast iron stomach, she can handle anything, but Shellie & Georgie can't, I have to slowly transition them to a new diet over a week. I feed raw now, but when introducing a new protein source I have to start off with very small amounts and increase them over a week or two or I get diarrhea/splarts.

Thanks Jessica, will take your advice and hopefully she will be okay. She seems full of life now but will still stick to boiled chicken and rice for a few days. I hae myself for being so stupid with a puppy.
Joan.

Petria has been wormed monthly with Interceptor, it was suggested that her anal glands need to be looked at
