Default New owner and new to breed

Goliath became a member of our family a few weeks ago - he's about 11 weeks old and is a chocolate short-hair (photo to be uploaded!) We're new to the breed so we're both learning. So far, he's very reluctant to wear anything (a challenge in Germany in February) or to walk on a leash but we are working on both of those things little by little. We've overcome the harness aversion, learned to sit and can be left alone a little at a time now, so we know it's a matter of time and patience.

We're a family of 5 with three kids (one of whom is already 18 so not really a kid!), and Goliath has really bonded with everyone well.

Welcome! He is CUTE!!! (although I may be biased as I have a chocolate smoothcoat too).

I'm sure you will find all the info and support you need here. I just got my first Chi 4 months ago (and then another one 2 months ago) and the site has been such a great resource, I really don't know what I would have done without it!

Definitely spending a lot of time reading around the site - especially on the raw food forum. Our Goliath came to us eating homemade dog food and we've kept him on this diet so far. Doing tons of reading! Seems a bit intimidating ..
