Hello, I have a six year old chihauhau Goliath. He has always sneezed alot, but today has a hacking cough and keeps coughing until he almost pukes. ( nothing comes up). He hasn't been around any other dogs, just our two indoor cats which we have also had awhile. Any ideas if it's just a cold , I'm worried and wonder if I should take him to the vet.

Always better safe than sorry. An extra vet visit wouldn't hurt.
