Default New to forum and breed - ETA PICS!
Hiyas!

I'm Jill an "almost" chihuahua mama. Our baby, Junie, will be coming home Sunday 2/5 and we can't wait! My husband and I have been researching breeds since August and we've finally settled on a chihuahua - we're ready, sooo ready!

Little bit about us, again my name is Jill, I'm 40 and live in Chicago. I'm a full time Criminal Psychology student. It's just my husband and I at home, lucky us.. they're gone! I have a daughter from a previous marriage, she's 21 and lives in MI. Yep, I was young. My husband, 54, has a son who is 31, married and has 2 sons. I'm a step grandma at 40!

I've had several dogs, mostly small but never a peanut like Junie will be. I look forward to learning about little bits.

You and your husband sound like us!
We are 47 and 48, and we also have 1 child each. They are 28 and 27, both married and we have 3 grandchildren between the two.
They both live 6-8 hours from us. So, like you, we are empty nesters. We have 3 chihuahuas. I always say that we MUST be some sort of cliche!

Please do share pics when you can. Oh, and be prepared for the human kids to believe that you treat Junie better than them! haha!

Welcome to the board and congrats on your upcoming new addition! I have to warn you though - they are kind of like Lays potato chips. You can't stop at one! LOL....., seriously though I am new to the breed also. My only other small dog was a doxie. I enjoy the two chis I have. Because they are small, they are easy to care for. I wish you much happiness with your new baby! Tell us a little about the pup when you have time, please.
