Default Just rescued a little Chi mix *graphic pic*

Well I was leaving the apt and there were three kids chasing this little guy and hitting him with sticks. He ran under my car to hide and I couldn't get hold of the kids fast enough. I was more worried that the little guy was hurt and might take off and be lost AND hurt!! Well I managed to get him out from under the car and to the vet to get scaned for a chip (there was none) and checked over. He was very stinky and dirty. He has a hole through his upper jaw on the left that is healed but you can see though it. He is also missing most of his teeth on the left side with a lot of scars on his gums and mouth. WHY HOW WHO can do this to an animal!!!

Just after finding him he was snuggled up happy

We have a hard time containing the kisser!!

Here is the hole that is healed in his jaw.

Hun that is not a hole in his jaw. He has a slightly wry bite with a few missing teeth that many, many chis miss because they simply never grew in.

(The bite/malocclusion is caused by genetics...not by abuse)

That would cause the round hole in the upper jaw, right under her thumb?

A wry bite can look different depending on the dog. The shape of the jaw looks normal considering he did not grow teeth there. The upper canine tooth is missing, which is what may cause it to appear concave but I am just about positive that bite is not caused by injury. I have seen many like it unfortunately in poorly bred dogs.

He may have cracked the canine and had to have it removed but it didn't heal properly, thus the hole, but the bite would be wry whether the tooth was there or not.

If a dog that size received an extensive enough blow to damage a canine tooth they would honestly not have survived.
