Well she had her stitches out and the soft cast removed last Monday. She has had a hard time with the leg that was in the cast. She walks rather lightly on that leg. Today I took her out for a little bit. She did fine, I was a wreck! I have two chi's and I took them out together. Emmie is heavier, and I didn't want her to pull Zarita around too much. They did fine, and Zarita loved being outside---first time in a long time. Zarita is on 'restrictions' for a month. No jumping up, no climbing stairs, etc. I thought a tiny walk on a harness was OK. May I ask what was wrong with her knees?

she had bilateral subluxed patellas. (knees in other words!) Sue

Awww poor baby. Short walk will do her good, its a big op for a little dog.

Bless her little heart! How nice that she got out for a bit. Good luck keeping her calm now that her cast is gone! haha!
