Hello!
Hi, my name is Nikki. I'm new to this forum and a new Chi owner. I've had my baby girl since November and got her when she was about 8wks old.
My Chi, Bebe, is 4 1/2 months old now, solid black with a little white strip on her belly. She is just under 4lbs (3lbs 7oz) and just finished getting all her shots (yay!). I think she will be on the smaller side of a standard Chi, since I only saw the Mom who was around 4.5lbs and smallish in size but not teacup by anymeans.
We are almost fully potty trained, with rare accidents once in a while over the last month. I kennel her durring the day while I'm at work, so she does pee in her kennel since she is too young to physically hold it, which is fine.
Would you recommend getting a larger crate since she will be in there for 8+hrs while I am at work? Right now she's in an x-small crate (12x12), but I'm thinking of getting a 30x18.5 so I can put in a nice bed and have a small potty area for her. Does this sound like a good idea, or should I just wait it out until she can hold her pee all day?
Thanks for any advice you can give and I look forward to meeting/chatting with everyone.
Nikki
