I have a few questions. One of the pups has funny eyes. The prior owner said they were blue, and they may well be just blue eyes, but I have never heard of a blue eyed Chihuahua. Is this a health issue? I would hate that!

His brother is short-haired and they tumble all day long and sleep a lot in between feeding time. I do not leave food out as I think that is a bad practise if they gain too much weight...

They are camel and white, very cute. The short hair may have a little blue in him as his nose is spotted with some blue markings.

I am waiting for them to like me. Still very skittish. any help on any of my questions?

I have seen chi's with blue eyes. I am sure if it means health issues I just thought it was the merle gene in there somewhere but I could be wrong. Can't wait to see pics!

My light tan Chi has blue eyes, its perfectly acceptable for the light coloured Chis to have light coloured eyes.

At 7 months they should be fine to be fed 2x daily so you won't have to leave food out all the time. Are they neutered yet? I found my little boy (similar age) became much more interested in food after his neuter and put on weight very rapidly so thats something to watch out for if you're concerned about weight issues.

As for the skittishness I would just give it time. They need to adjust to you and thier new environment. Lots of love and praise and time spent with them should do the trick.
