I'm jus recently switched from purina one smart blend lamb n rice to science diet lamb n rice. Vet recommended lamb n rice.
She seems to like it better than th purina, but granted she's only had once bowl of th new and that was las night.
I do feed her small portions multiple times during the day. I have read up on chi's and low blood sugar. I hope you lil cutie get better!
she hasn't thrown up since her las vet visit ince he reccomended th lamb n rice so hopefully I'm doing good and taking care of th problem.
Guess dog food brands are jus a trial and error kinda thing

Welcome! I was going to ask the same thing. Is it a yellow foamy bile? If so, you can spoil her some more by adjusting her feeding schedule like audreybabypup suggested. Our chihuahua Odie has this issue if we're not careful to make sure she gets a snack before bed. It usually doesn't have to be anything huge, sometimes a small treat or a few kibble does the trick.
I have a chi with acid reflux disease. It is a sudden upchuck of food. There is no gagging or heaving as in vomiting. Dog just lowers her/his head and there it is. My dog is on Pepcid (vet recommended) and it does help. Yesterday she decided she didn't want to eat, and sure enough, a few hours later there was bile on the floor. I have given up trying to figure out why a perfectly normal ($1000 spent on special tests-all normal at a specialists office) dog will deliberly not eat and make herself sick.? ZiwiPeak?? Where would I be able to find that at? Peto, PetsMart? Is it good for th coat? I've noticed tht her hair has thinned. She 14 months old and I've heard tht long hair chi's usually don't get their long long coats til bout 2-3 years of age. Anyhow I'm want'n th best tht I can provide for her to be healthy & pretty so any helpful tips would be appreciated. Thx so much in advance! Also I've heard something about salmon oil? What's th benefit w that?
