Every chi is different some are bigger some are smaller. When you bought him did you ask about his parents and such? did they tell you hi is full chi? to be honest I can't tell but I think he is gorgeous!

Hiya and welcome, ooh I did giggle when reading he growled & peed on the Vet. Poetic justice for he who was about to stab him with a sharp needle.

My girl Chi Bella was much bigger than your boy and I think right now at 8 or so months she's close to 9lbs. IMO bigger ones are great, they can tear a$$ around with the best of them and you don't have to worry about them being so fragile, she's quite happy play fighting (and beating up) her Boston Terrier & Schnauzer buddies whereas my tinies stay on my lap looking petrified at the proceedings below lol. Only now is my little 3.5lb boy willing to get in an have a go, but it took a while for his confidence to buiild against the other clumsy boofheads.

Oh, and they'll ALL fit in a purse, it's just the size of the purse that matters

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Some Chis are just on the smaller side and some are rather on the bigger side. Rocky weighs 8lbs so is rather on the bigger side and he still does fit into a bag . I still find him very small and am honestly shocked sometimes when seeing a lot smaller Chis than him (as I find him already really really small). I think it can be an advantage having a bigger Chi as well.
But whatever how much you Chi is going to weigh in the end, he is still such a cutie. Also, Rocky only looked really Chi like once he turned 1.5 years. Before he looked a bit out of proportion .
