How does he like agility? Do you guys compete?

This weekend will be our 3rd CPE (Canine Performance Events) Trial and Pico is scheduled to run in four events all at the beginning level. We have also participated in 2 Teacup Dog Agility (tdaa) trials. He usually does well for our level of experience (we are both trying to figure this all out) but he really struggled at our last trial and I'm not sure why. He seemed really frightened and it was sad. I'm hoping it will be happy running and jumping for him tomorrow!
I started agility for Gilda as she is truly built for it. She was a very sad puppy when we got her and we are still working through issues with her. She loves to run in class but totally falls apart in the trial environment so we don't put her in those situations. (She loves swimming, chasing deer in the woods, treibball class and barn hunt events) If agility isn't fun for the dog, I don't think it's worth doing. When it is fun for the dog, it is a blast at any level!
ps. I went through this thread last night and saw posts I hadn't seen before! Now that I'm on my PC, I'll have to go through and post some replies. Really great thread!
