I'm new obviously, and
this is my chi Pablo!
I joined this forum mainly for the love of my chihuahua, but to look for advice too!
Pablo is now eight months old, he weighs 3.4 pounds and seems so happy and healthy...
I got Pablo at 8 weeks old and at our first trip to the vet you could imagine my heart break when the vet told me he had a molera and possible hydrocephalus, I argued with him at the time I had read chis can keep their soft spot their whole life, but he insisted and I got Pablo an ultrasound scan...
He then told me that he had a mild bit of fluid and would most likely die with in a Few months, would be lucky to make it to two years old and best give him bak to the breeder...
This was a massive NO, I couldn't do that!
Any way since then Pablo shows NO signs of any symptoms of hydro he is such a happy little dog and seems healthy in every way!!
The vet has since given me conflicting info saying he could live his whole life with it?
I just don't understand, I wonder if any one here has experience of hydrocephalus? Is it possible he has made a Misdiagnosis? Should I see another vet?
