Hey Everyone, I am new on here. Registered about a week ago, and have been poking around looking at the adorable pictures, and reading the threads. I had to make sure Lupita and I were going to fit in. And...I think it is going to be a good fit! You see, .... Lupita is my 6 1/2 yr old Chi and she is the love of my husbands and my life.
About 7 yrs ago, I saw a Chi puppy and told my husband I wanted one. He told me to go buy myself one. I laughed at him and told him there would be no way I would get one, because I already had 3 large parrots (18, 28, and 38 yrs old), and he already thought I was crazy with the care and treatment I gave them. To bring a puppy in the house, I was sure there would be a divorce in our future. (Keep in mind, he grew up with no pets).
He surprised me with Lupita for my birthday. She was 10 weeks old and she imediately stole my heart. That evening she curled up with my husband, and went sound to sleep..... yep... she had his heart! I could go on and on about our "Little Girl". but maybe I should just save some stuff for another time. Amazing... for such little things, they are worth a million smiles! Welcome. Lupita is so precious!

My oldest is a Double Yellow Head Amazon Kelly-38 yr old. Rosie is my 28 yr old Moluccan Cockatoo, Harley was the baby (until we got Lupita)she is my 18 yr old Blue and Gold Macaw that I raised from an egg.. My husband is the only male in the house!

Lupita is adorable !!! i also have birds. i used to raise them also. i have Junior , my african grey parrot around 21 years old, Pickey my cockateil around 22 years old , and baby peep , a cockatiel around 2 years all. i handfed them all. Minnie loves the birds and the parrot likes to communicate w/ the dogs. its really cute
