I'm Rachael, I'm 20 years old and from Massachusetts. I've been reading this forum for a very long time, and joined in July but just didn't get around to posting. I have three chihuahuas and a mix that run my life. I joined this forum mainly for the love of my chihuahua, but to look for advice too! Benjamin is mainly my moms dog but he can be mush with me to, he is 13yrs old.
Tinkerbell was my first chi, and the start of everything. She was flown in from Florida. She is about 6yrs old now, and my baby.

Brody was the second addition. He was flown in from Oklahoma and sadly I believe he was from puppy mill. He had no socialization skills when he came, and was afraid of his own shadow. Although she did mention he was a tad nervous. He is about 5yrs old now, and has outgrown most fears. (7 pounds - 2 pounds overweight!)

Last but not least is Brandy, she is Tinkerbell's and Brody's daughter. Not sure exactly what happened here because she is so large compared to them. There other puppies never ever turned out to be like this, all though we only had two litters and that included her. She is very neurotic, she is obsessed with licking. I've never seen anything quite like it...When she went to be fixed (last year she weighed a whopping 13 pounds!)

My first chi weighed 11.5 lbs! He was about 3lbs overweight!

We now have Angel, whom is on the larger side at 8.5 - 9 lbs! But he doesn't look it!

Welcome to the forum from Barney and me. I have a border collie from a rescue who starts life in a puppy mill. His fear issues broke my heart. He has come so far though. He loves his little brother Barney too.

Thank you very much! Its good to know I'm not the only one who has had over weight chi! Brody doesnt look, to me, like he weighs 7 pounds. Brandy on the other hand, she looks and feels like she could weigh about 15-20 pounds! At the moment they are all on a diet.

Thank you! Puppy mill dogs and puppies are the saddest. I'm glad Barney came so far with his issues, as many of them don't. When we got Brody, the breeder said he would be nervous and needed someone to work with him. To this day there are still things you can't do with him, like sometimes kisses on face or big noises bother him. But he is much better than he was. I'm just happy he had come as far as he has.

Hello and thank you! Wow Rolo sounds like a little peanut. I actually wanted a really small chi, but everyone I talked to discouraged me from getting one. Brody was supposed to be between about 4 and 5 pounds...
