Hi everyone. My name is Christina. I had Chihuahua's growing up but now my husband and I have own that we are taking care of on our own. My Chihuahua's name is Armani, Mani for short. We love him to death. But there are something that I need help with, Mani is mostly black with some white. He has very dry skin. He is eating Iams and I am putting 3 squirts of fish oil in it and when I wash him I use Oatmeal Shampoo. But his skin still seems to be dry. Anything else I can do? Another problem, his eyes water a whole lot. Now I know chihuahua's eyes water being that they are so close to the ground, but his water so much that it bothers him. He scratches at his eyes. Some times they ever drip down. I know that's not normal. And lastly Armani has a bump on his head. At first it was just a little bump. But now that bump is a pea size, it has no hair, and it is dry and has scabs on it. It just doesn't look too good. The vet just looked at it and said its probably just a hot spot, and he said nothing else of it. It looks bad PLEASE HELP.

Welcome to CP first get her off Iams,it's rubbish food Acana or ziwi peak are 5* foods once she's changed i'm sure her eyes will clear up also her skin ,as for the bump has she seen a vet ?

I agree switching food should help with everything you mentioned.
We switched Jaxx to Ziwipeak a while back. He had always had dry skin and it is no longer a problem
Also how often are you giving him a bath? Bathing dogs too often dries out their skin.

Hot spots can be caused by food.

You definitely need a different diet, and your wee one will do much better.
