Rocky and Benji are brothers, they are a breed called Basenji, it is a pretty rare, ancient African breed.

Here they are with my long haired Chihuahua Chanel. Benji is the tricolor one, and Rocky is red & white.

Yes the floppy ears will most likely remain floppy. My Chanel has floppy ears too,
I think it adds personality.

ps: I posted pics for you.

Toby truly has been a light in my life. When I went to college, my family kept the dogs. When I knew I was moving far from home, I started planning for Toby. Now I am in law school and Toby is 15 months old.

Charlotte is beautiful, I am glad she has brought so much joy to you and your mother after the loss of poor Benji.
It's the worst pain someone can go through well all I'd lost before him was a hamster that I loved also but id had that for a year or two I was so upset but when I lost Benji it was beyond belief I've not lost any family really so losing him when he was such a key part of my life. I was born into a small family where my grandparents were already dead except for 1 who died when I was 1 so i don't remember him or the pain of losing him I feel upset when people go on about grandparents and what not but because I never really had them its not like I know exactly what I'm missing. How do you cope with losing 7 dogs I mean I know it's a part of life but does it not destroy you? I am sorry for your several losses! It's such a shame dogs who get treated badly then end up being aggressive and what not when it's not there fault if they were loved from birth it wouldn't of happened and the dog could of been happy and brought happiness to others as well. You sound like your doing well in life and I hope Toby all the best

They are known as the "untrainable" breed. They LOVE mischief, they are very
independent, very aloof. BUT I strongly believe in exercise, and in my case it
has been the ultimate tool in getting my boys to not only behave well, but prove
that even Basenjis can be trained to do just about anything. I spend a lot of
time daily working with my dogs, teaching them through play and exercise,
even now that they are four years old, their education never stops. And for
this reason they are great dogs, a total pleasure to have around. They also
love my girls, I have two Chihuahuas, Chanel & Bella, and they are very good
with them.

Haha did they come with a warning label? 'untrainable' or 'mischief 1' and 'mischief 2' haha. Out of interest how long do you exercise them? And do all your dogs get the same exercise? I struggle to train Charlotte all she wants to do is play especially with her squeaky toys which I have grown to hate although she adores them! And do you not find it very tiring? 4 dogs I could never cope they'd be running the household haha I'm rubbish at discipline !

Welcome to the forum! At 15 you will have lots of fun, and heartache in your life. I am 74 and have had about 14 dogs in my life. Most of that time I have had 2 dogs. Now I have 3! It is so sad when they go, but I always had the other dogs to love on.
