My Chi is 9 now & has me trained better than I have him. But started over his training recently. You can teach them, but realize... They are one of the MOST stubborn little dogs there are. Plus they have "big dog complex"; which makes it even harder.
When they want your attention (luke pick them up), you ignore them... But when they're doing what they're supposed to be, that's when you pet them, pick them up & give good lovings.

Welcome to the forum. Your little girl is so cute. Patience with her. She has not had a good beginning. Hopefully Alfie will help her adjust. Maybe once she sees it is alright to be loved and cuddled she will settle in. Alfie may help with the potty training. Taking them both out at the same time to do their business where she can smell where Alfie has gone will give her the idea. Good luck, and thank you for giving her a forever home.
