Ok so I am severely teed off. My neighbor's have a full blood lab that they keep chained in the backyard. They don't have a fence, and that's not the part that bothers me. I'm mad because they don't hardly ever feed her or check her water. My lab mix puppy is one of hers, and he is seven months. She just had another litter about 5 weeks ago. They don't have any way of making sure these puppies stay safe and keep from wondering in the street. They say they are going to take them to a shelter, but haven't done it yet. This female is so thin, and I know its partly from just giving birth, but its also from worms. I know she has them because Oreo had them when we brought him home. I know something needs to be done, but I don't want to be in their business. We know we can't afford to take her, and if the city finds out they will take her and cite my neighbors. I really need help. If anyone knows of a way that I can do something, please some advice would be great.

umm you tell your city authorities as a anonymous complaint because its what is best for the dog...

I agree I know you don't want to do that but if you don't they will never learn and you may be watching dogs suffer over there for years to come. I had to do the same thing to some good neighbors well actually I talked someone else into doing it for me. I cringed the day I saw animal control pull up but I was also very relieved.

I didn't know I could do it anonymously. They keep saying they are going to call a no kill shelter, but they still haven't done it yet. I don't know why they are waiting. Especially when they know their girls aren't going to feed the dog. She is a sweet dog.

Really? You'd call for me? The city is closed right now. I have the time set wrong but I'll get the info for you. I'll have to call city hall tomorrow and get the numbers. My husband and I feel bad for her because she knows when we feed and water Oreo, and she barks because she knows there is food, and water. We have gone over several times and brought her water. Their daughter's are young, and should be reminded to take care of her. I just get frustrated.

Sure i'm in Ontario but pm me all the details which i'm pretty sure will need to be detailed, temp is there shelter, how skinny is she, how old are the pups her address etc.
