Default I'm in shock

Simba was out in the kitchen having a drink of water, suddenly there was a noise and we hear him crying, rushed out and he had collapsed on the floor,in his water bowl it was all yellow with like white froth on the top,he seems to be ok but will keep an eye on him and take him to the vets Anybody have any idea what the yellow stuff in the water was, wasn't on the floor like sick, just in the water

He might have been drinking and threw up in the water. Like maybe it backwashed in his bowl. Poor Simba, I hope he is ok.

Oh no!! I am so sorry to hear this, it must have been so scary. Yellow foam is usually what you see when they vomit up bile; perhaps he was drinking too fast, and then threw up? I know when mine are about to throw up, they make this retching sound and their bodies contract and heave; do you think it's possible that he was just gagging up water and maybe it threw him off balance? If it was in the bowl, and not on the floor, he probably wasn't expecting to regurgitate it at all so the experience might have just spooked him. Hugs to you and Simba; keep us posted Michele!! <3

Poor pup! I think above poster is probably right. Maybe he drank too fast and gagged?

Kat i have no idea what happened, after his strokes his head is on the side a bit so he can never drink fast he seems to drink from the side of the bowl and hardly gets any, there was no retching sound either .He's been asleep since so i'll see how he is tomorrow. It's a mystery
Thanks guys

Normally bright yellow is Stomach acid.

Huly did this once to me and instead of thinking rational (I knew what it was) I went into panic mode as I was painting a bright yellow that same day. He ran down my stairs after getting sick and twisted his back ankle. I freaked rushed him to the ER (which I HATE). His vitals were good so I took him back home, after they freaked me out even more, stayed up all night with him and he saw my vet the next day who finally calmed me down. Our ER Vet sucks! I have had issues with them since Huly was found. They did not even open the box he was brought in with and said they were going to put him down. So yes I have held a grudge
