I like the concept of your product - it's not at all affordable for me with 7 dogs though

I agree I would love to have this for Bijoux but the price and shipping just isn't feasible for us

HI Marabou, FlippedStars, and Mooberry

- Wow - I'm so glad you responded off the ad announcements.

Off my google analytics I saw that someone came by the online store and was at check out, but left - I completely understand your concerns about spending especially in these crazy economic times. And Flippedstars - 7 little ones - that's amazing. Everyone's doggers look so good. I always get such a kick out of seeing all the pictures.

So getting back to the website ---I think the discount code for Chihuahua People has expired. But I have something I can offer you - would a special of $3.00 off work out? that would work for the single and the two pack --- and remember the 2 pack gets free shipping.

Let me know if that works. The code will go live in about 15 minutes. The code is :
3OFF ( all caps just like you see it.)

I'm also working on a survey form for small dogs. But if you would like to give me any feedback on products you would like to see in a smaller form for little dogs - let me know.
Or if you have noticed something that you wished was on the market to solve a problem. I would also like to hear about it.

Thanks for posting your concerns. I really appreciate it.
Regards,
Karen

I would consider it 'affordable' for 2 dogs, maybe 3, but with 7...a 60 capsule bottle will only last a little over 8 days. That means $15 (after coupon)...times 45 (the approx amount of bottles we'd need in a year!) puts us at like $675 a year total. Even if we only gave it 5 days a week we still would be looking at around $500. I can give the human fish oil from the store squirted on their food for around $100 a year so it's just a tough comparison...that said I think it's a great product and it sounds awesome!

Yikes! Yes, I can see what you mean when you start multiplying anything times 7. It goes quick.

On the $3.00 off, I want to make sure you know that with the single pack the posted price should be $16.99 ( there is a strike-through price of $18.99 -but it was marked down in June) So the total would be $13.99 and then shipping would make the total $18.88

With the 2 pack - that's $29.98 minus the $3.00 would bring it to $26.98 and no shipping means they are essentially $13.49 ea.

You have a lot going on and I know you need to watch the bottom line. If you decide to go with liquid, I think that would be OK. The softgel vs liquid would be that it works as long as they don't mind the taste of the fish oil. Some dogs really hate it. Our cat despises it and runs out of the room. The other thing to consider with liquid is that it's easy to over do it. With cats and dogs under 10 lbs, it just takes the tiniest amount of fish oil - the good news is that the over doing of fish oil, only produces the distracting result of gas or the runs ( but who wants that? ) And sometimes you get some nasty fish burps. Some people find liquid, messy and inconvenient.

The real benefit of a softgel is convenience and no fish-burps. Every dog we've seen usually downs the fish oil, with no disguising or anything in about 5 seconds. With most most owners, the easier it is on them, the more likely the dog or cat will get their omega 3.

I understand if you decide to got the liquid route, you have a lot going on. If you do decide to go with the Packenzie Petite Omega 3, I want to re-assure you that it's completely guaranteed. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied, we will pay for shipping the product back and give a full refund. No questions asked.

Also - I really, really appreciate your voicing your concerns on the forum. If you have anything you see or run across that you would like to see as a supplement or a treat or that you wish was on the market to solve a certain problem with your 7 chihuahuas - please let me know. I would love to hear about it.

I hope this helps.
Regards,
Karen

Hi again,

Just wanted to clarify about the cost of the liquid fish oil. I was checking out some items on line and depending on the size of the bottle, the manufacturer, and the cost - the amount per year might surprise you.

It would seem to make sense that the liquid would last a long time, but the general dosage amount looks like a teaspoon ( but I would cut that in half for a chihuahua ) and depending on the manufacturer that's 21 servings a bottle or 100 ( the 100 is the better priced deal - at twice the cost at about $26.00 ) So let's say it's 100 servings divided by 7 - that's 14 days. That would mean 26 bottles for a year totaling at $676.00 for the year.
If you cut that in half because the dosage was cut in half - 13 bottles x $26.00 = $338.00 for the year.

I needed to put that out there, so the pricing was compared fairly.
Thank you!
Karen
