RIP Little Twiggy
Unfortunately, my little Twiggy has passed. For those that don't know her, she was a tiny 2 pound 14 oz diva that had been run over by her former owners, never taken to a vet, and just thrown in a crate to see if she'd make it because "They could make good money on her babies". She had a crushed pelvis and two broken hips. She was able to form a new hip socket on one leg, the other one was twisted. Most of the time, about 90% of the time, she walked and ran on three legs. Over the years, she was able to use the bad leg more and more. She never thought she was handicapped. Sassy and confident, she would stand her ground and bark at my brother when he came over, he being 6 foot 4 and her just under three pounds, but she didn't care. Lately she had been doing a little poorly, just a bit off, but eating and getting around as always. The night she passed, she was in the girls bedroom as she was in heat and I didn't want the other dogs to bother her. I fed her dinner and she ate it with no problem. I came back to check on her and she was on her side and couldn't stand. I picked her up and she had a seizure and died. It appears she had a blood clot and had a stroke and was gone. I still cant believe it. Ill miss her hating getting her picture taken and aloofness. When she wanted some loving, she'd sneak in little kisses on my chin. I only had her six years, not long enough. But with the all the damage her poor little body had sustained, it's a miracle she lasted as long as she did. RIP little diva.
Thank you Jan for the wonderful siggy!
