This is so sad... I'm sure you all remember me posting earlier in the summer about my friend who lost her blue tri color chi Stormy. After all of our efforts we never heard from all the places she was reported to.
Although knowing no dog could replace her, my friend agreed to take in another chihuahua that needed a home. 2 weeks later she came home from work to find out he had passed away. He was fine that morning. He was in his crate and there was no way he could've gotten into anything.
I just feel awful for her... I really believe that this dog had major underlying health issues. He was given to her for free from a family who said he hadn't been vetted or anything... and that he was around 6 years old. His weight was the worst problem... they said he 'didnt like' dog food so they just fed him scraps of whatever they were eating that day. .....=( He was grossly obese. It wasn't a case of direct abuse; just very poor care... and they were very willing to give him to someone who could actually afford to take care of him. His temperament was amazing, he was so sweet....
She'd already gotten him vaccinated, registered, nails done, and had him on Taste of The Wild and he seemed like everything was good. She did so much for him to help him. But 6 years of no medical attention clearly took it's toll; not to mention the horrible diet he'd been on. She didn't even have him long enough to notice anything else was wrong... she could definitely use your guys prayers. She works with my OH and mentioned to him that 'maybe she's just not meant to have small dogs.' =(( I can't imagine how she must feel. First her puppy; and now the dog she tried to help...
I made this for her and posted it on her FB wall along with the Rainbow Bridge story.
