They do eat the bone as well. Not usually the middle, but the end bits. I take it away after a while, and it's actually been eaten. And as said before, Betty is missing some teeth, so she gets on just fine.

Try the mice/rats! They may not take to them right off, but if you offer again and again, they'll start to get better with them.

Daisy eats pork ribs bones and all

I can't do that whole prey business I have an issue eating food off a bone myself so handing an entire bird to my dogs would cause me to need therapy!!!

Feathers and heads are a huge no no in this house that gies for fish too!!!

I finally got some shots of Lyra eating. This is her chowing down on some beef gullet. I am really pleased with the gullet. It has tough cartilage that gives her back teeth a great workout and requires more chewing and tearing than quail or even chicken necks!

squinty-eyed nommage!

My favorite one. As a size reference, that's a ladies size 6.5 shoe.

I think that feeding whole prey is awesome if your dogs will eat it. I, however, will not be doing it again. The shipping was pretty expensive, and Brody didn't want to eat them. I ended up having to butcher out the birds and rabbits myself and I don't want to do that again. It was a lot of work. Once you take the feathers off a quail, my gosh - those things are TINY!!! I think whole prey might work well for larger breeds of dogs but it wasn't for us.
omg they give u the rabbits with the fur on? I would ball my eyes out for hours and would never be able to cut it lol I love rabbits I have a hard enough time cutting the chicken up and its already de feathered with no head LOL! u are brave

I really appreciate this thread as the visuals help me so much. I will be getting my first chi, Audrey Lyn in about 3 more weeks or so. I plan to take her to raw right away. Right now she is weaned and eating Evo. I feed my Shar-pei and my simese cat raw so I know this is the best way to go. I just want to say thanks for this thread and please continue to post pics here.
