Thanks guys for the comments! LOL @ Milo "supervising". More like "why do they get to eat longer than me?". (because he isn't very patient with chewing!) He's lost 3lbs though since the beginning.

Morgans Mom....We've had pet rabbits & other rodents as well as chickens & such. Obviously not everyone *can* feed like this but for me I don't think I'd have a problem because it's "just nature" in my eyes. No different than raising a cow & slaughtering them for us to eat. The "package" is definitely different with the whole prey but for me I can get past that. Just haven't done it yet but would like to soon.

Thank you so much for that link!

I don't think feeding a rabbit would bother me, though I did also have pet rabbits. I think with the rats though its just that we have them as pets now and I try hard to make the dogs not view them as a snack. That and I have saved so many from feeder bins, I think id just hate myself lol.

Natural is the way it is to me too, esp. with the bunnies we need to deal with on our own. I grew up on a farm, where my step father hunted for our meat a lot too. We often had to go to the barn to get dinner (a chicken) and deal with that. I think I'm okay with it because I know I don't waste anything (besides the fur).

Pictures as requested by Ms. Moni!

This was supposed to be a group shot of the chis eating their goat grind for breakfast this morning, BUT by the time I passed out everyones goatballs, cleaned my hands, then grabbed the camera, Lila was the only one left eating. Lol!

Their goatballs. They look huge in the picture, but they're about 1 ounce each, and Lola's is about .50 ounces

Mmm...Mmmm..Mmmmm! Yummy! My Favorite goatballs!

The others were circling her in hopes she would leave a crumb. Yea right!

Funny, I've had rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, chickens, pigs, reptiles, horses, sheep, goats and so on. I am a "hard core" (as my family says) vegetarian almost vegan. I do not wear leather nor fur. No products that test on animals. I am pro animal rescue and hate mills. Yet my pets eat raw. I can stand and chop kidney and liver and heart and so on for them. But for them it is necessary in my mind. I try to give them the vey best possible nutrition. But as for me, an animal dying to be food for me? No way. Funny how it goes.

Mice, it looks like. Zoey and Ziva look like they took right to them and didn't miss a beat!
