Default yet another raw question from me, considered red meat or not?

So I've been looking for more red meat varieties to feed and just found out the local butcher had rabbit all this time I keep hearing mixed answers on if rabbit is red meat or not. Any of you raw feeders might know what it really is? I also heard duck is red meat too?? I really don't think so.

Also, I know variety is key so do you think I'm giving my dog enough variety? Her regular meats are goat, lamb, and soon rabbit. And she also gets turkey. Plus she gets chicken, mainly just wings. Of course organs too but I mean enough meat variety. I wanted to add venison to the mix and the butcher has it BUT they charge $24 per pound no thanks, maybe for Christmas or something lol.

Duck is a red meat, rabbit a white meat. Glad you have them to offer! I would add beef to your rotation for sure ( unless there is an allergy I am not aware of). With this, it sounds like you are getting a good variety

Funny you mention that, she is allergic to beef. Really sucks because it's one of the most easy to find and cheap meats. I've tried so many times to feed her beef. She gets so itchy it's ridiculous and one of her paws turns super bright red after eating like three days of beef and she'll just gnaw on the paw 24/7. Never fails

Is she allergic to pork too? Sorry, can't remember!

Yes, I think you are doing fine with variety. The rabbit is usually very very lean so be aware of that and feed something fatty that week to balance it out. Goat is an excellent red meat and so is lamb. You are lucky to have both of those in your rotation! Duck is also a nice fattier meat.

Oh yea, I forgot all about pork! That I know of, she's not allergic. She's had it a few times and surprisingly she's not a big fan of it. She'll eat but first she'll just stare at me for a while like "seriously, where's the good meat" lol

Pork is a great red meat. And cheap. Try different cuts. Brody likes those riblets with the little button bones. (I trim some of the fat if they are especially fatty). I get mine at Walmart in a big box from Farmland. It's like $10.00. Lasts forever! And they are yummy grilled for the people in the family too. lol Just double check labels as many places sell enhanced pork and you need the sodium to be 100mg or less per serving.
