Yeah, I've heard eggs are good also. I've actually tried to give it to my first dog a couple time, raw with shell included in his regular meal. I didn't get a bad reaction from him, but I don't think he cared for it much. I'm sure a fried egg isn't quite the same thing. (:

Grace, she is. This little girl is so unbelievably sweet and trusting in spite of her past. I'm so happy to show her a better world.

I just uploaded some pics for everybody, but they aren't really that great. It's near impossible to get her in one spot without trying to jump in my arms. Cute, but tough on photos! Ill post them in a moment.

Hunny and Paisley giving eachother kisses this morning. (: she's never seen another dog before I brought her home. They scare her quite a boy, but she is doing well in spite. (:


See those stupid looking pink nails? No, I didn't do that. I clipped them a few hours ago. I can't believe how long they were! Hunny would have grinded his in the pavement walking around before they'd have a chance to grow like that. Long doggie nails=icky.


She got a new coat today. I'm not sure she likes the hood so much. Ill have to find a way to pin it back when it's unnecessary. Hunny got a matching one. They are going to be so adorable together. Xmas photos? Yes, I'm pretty sure that might happen for the first time ever. (: doggie family! If I can breed myself...*shrug*

Btw, this girl is already doing so well with putting on weight. I can see a slight difference in only 2 days. I can't remember who warned me against putting it on too quickly, but your words are in the back of my mind. I can see her becoming overweight if I'm not careful.

Well, she is very scared if dogs, but Hunny might just be the best one to help her. He's extremely social and has been so unbelievably gentle with her. It's the sweetest thing to see. I'm not sure Paisley would be able to live in a house with any other dog at this stage.
I'm certainly working on socialization though. I took her to my local doggie daycare for their public social hour today. I already go there every Sunday, and I think it will help tremendously. I gave 5 parks within a mile of my apartment also, so her potty breaks have been pretty educational and new to her also.

If you knew what she was eating before, which doesnt sound like much you could start by mixing in the raw til she was weaned. I woldn't start with the fatty food either. Liver is quite high in calories being an organ meat so maybe do that too. I make Cantina her own dog food(cooked)and she is thriving. Gail

She's actually already at a pretty healthy weight now! (: she has a lot of problems eating in environments that she feels any amount of stress in, but I see that subsiding a little as well. I'm actually more concerned with keeping her from getting overweight now! I think I will start weaning her onto raw within the next few weeks. I've been giving her dehydrated Stella and chewys for the last few days and she's been happy with that. Won't touch ziwipeak though, which annoys me. I swear, all the foods I love, they hate. :-/
