Hi all,

I have spent a good amount of time last night and tonight pm'ing members whose siggys are not the right sizes etc. The rules say that the first time the siggys are noticed to be outside the rules that the siggy will be removed, but we haven't done that preferring first of all to pm members, but I am getting tired of pm'ing

Can everyone check that their siggys fit the rules ; just left click on your siggy and you will see at the bottom of the list - properties, click on that and you will see the dimensions of your siggy.

Also remember just one line of text.

Here is the relevant rule thread - *SIGGY SIZES & TICKERS* (to be used on the forum)

1. All users are given a maximum space of 600px (width) and 300 px (height) for their signature. You can do whatever you want to do with this space (i.e. use it for banner images, blinkies).

2. Since web links or text in your signature cannot be measured in width and height, You can have a MAXIMUM of 1 line of text in your signature.

I posted this thread a few days ago, as honestly we don't have the time to check and pm on every single members siggys. Jerrysmom has taken to reporting outsize siggys to us, thanks JM - but still it would be so much easier if everyone would take responsibility themselves for their own siggys and keep them within the rules it is not that difficult.

We may have to resort to sticking to the rules and just removing siggys that do not conform.

I thought Private Messages were Private. Thanks a heck of a lot for telling
the entire board that I am ratting them out about their siggies! The fact is,
I was contacted and told my siggy was 17 pixels too big. I merely pointed out
that other's are much larger and often have more than one line of type.
That included a siggy belonging to one of you ADMIN ...

I admit it was not my siggy that was to big it was my winning blinkie for a photo contest. I made sure that my siggy was 500x200 to fit my winning blinkie that 100x100 as they are all suppose to be (but mine was a tad bit bigger) so I never checked it out. It has been pointed out to me and I feel horrible about it but I am no different then other members and have to abide by the rules as well so it has been corrected now. So if everyone could please check their winning blinkies as well.

For those of us who have macs, is there a way to check size? If I right click on my siggy, it gives me a menu of options but NONE of them have a size.

Maybe it would be OK for people to use this thread (or another one) to check siggy's and others could tell them if its OK or not? Mine was too big at one time and I resized it, but I just played with it until others told me it was OK. So some people might not even know there's is too big. I really don't think people are trying to get away with anything?
