There can be real problems with html being turned on. I'm sure that's the reason it's not.

It allows persons who know html to post things that otherwise can't be posted with the bb code. One code that I would like to use once in awhile is the <marquee> tag for welcoming or birthday greetings.

The problem is that evil people can insert malicious code too.

Yes Mia says it has always been turned off for spammer reasons. What is it you need it for ?

yup just to confirm i asked chris (who is the other admin) and its mainly anti spam, dont think many forums these days allow it
