Default quoting external sites from other members?

i know the rules ( now) that we cannot post external sites until we have at least 100 posts..but does that count when you are quoting another member, who mentioned that site in THEIR post? I ask because another member mentioned a site. so, i quoted that member and mentioned that sites name ( in my response) and I was told that I was in violation of the rules? so, if i wanted to know more about that site, should I just quote that member but not mention that name in my question ( and just refer to the mentioned site, as "that site") or am I not even supposed to quote that member because he mentioned an external site?
LOL, sorry if this post makes no sense!

Sorry I confused you The members here are not allowed to post links to others sites as this would be a form of advertising for others. However sometimes they do sneak by us I am not real sure how this works in the buyers/sellers section as alot of members there are requesting help finding Chis. I am trying to find out what is exactly allowed there and will let you know as soon as I find out. If you want to use the quote box to respond to someone that is posting another site then that would be best. Quite frankly I am betting we are going to go in and remove that link you are referring to so there will not be an issue but I am waiting to here back from the administrators first. For now if you want to ask someone about a particular breeder, you can just pm them and ask them. If you are not sure who to ask then post a question in the buyers/sellers section asking if anyone has knowledge of breeders in your area would they please pm you and let you know so you can discuss a certain breeder with them This should help future confusion
