Default Bashing?

I'm only posting this as my opinion.....

After reading a closed thread this morning. I'm very upset. There are a couple people here who evidently don't mind bashing people. It makes me angry for the fact that it was over FCI and a member breeding his chihuahua. First off, not all Chihuahuas are gonna be KC registered, and some that are may not be completely to the standard. No dogs are any better than others. Another thing, why bash some for breeding Chihuahuas, when you're at home breeding mixed breeds? I feel like there's no reason to bash someone for something like that, when you're breeding mixes. I don't see a difference. I mean, breeding is breeding. You can't justify yourself in this.

I'm feeling like there are certain people who gang up on members when they are making there point and explaining themselves. I understand posting opiinions, but why not do it respectfully, rather than offending new members?

I think all adults should conduct themselves accordingly. There are always ways of stating your opinion without being condescending.

As for breeding, I think it should only be done for the betterment of the breed. Also left to the experienced hand. There are to many dogs that need homes to breed just because you want too. But that's only my view, and totally respect others for how they feel. I don't really feel anyone is an authority over anyone, and we can all learn from each other. But, no one listens too, much less learns from someone if they are acting juvenile.

I consider my babies, my babies. I'm not really concerned about weather they have a perfect head or not. If you are into showing, those things of course are important, but most pet owners don't give a rats patoot about all of that. I will say that when I got my babies, I did want them to represent the breed well.

I reported the post because I thought the photographs were, while perfectly natural, totally gratuitous on a board like this.

To post them and then make a comment about it ending in "lol" was very bizarre...in my opinion.

I have such mixed feelings about this. If everyone bred to better the breed, I wouldn't have my babies. I can't afford to pay $2000 for a dog, no matter how cute they are.

I have no desire to show, it's too political, so have no need for the "perfect chi".

Just because you're not a professional breeder/show person, doesn't mean your automatically a byb or puppy mill. This subject has caused so many hurt feelings over the period of time I've been here. I just think it needs to be deleted every time someone starts.

And Radar_Love, I can remember posting a similar sentiment when I first got on the forum. Hang in there, There are some really lovely people here. Ignore the ignorance and move on.

Now I know you mods knew I'd jump right on this eh? ROFL

We will be dealing with the members who are bashing other members. It isn't allowed and those members are delt with, you may not see it, but they are

People forget that we have PMs for a reason...keep the bashing and harsh criticisms off the board.

But why add lol at the end of it? What's to laugh at? That is verging on well...strange.
