i'm still fairly new around here - it's only been a couple weeks - is there a way i can bookmark threads I find particularly helpful so i can access them easily? Or is the best way to do that just to subscribe to the thread so it stays connected to my name?
i sure hope it is. i have found several that i would like easy access to! i can just bookmark the page, i suppose, but use several computers throughout the day (home, work, laptop) and would like to be able to see them wherever I am!
Aquarius, where do you live in Dublin? We had friends that lived in Killiney we went to visit a couple years ago. I LOVE Dublin. Wish they still lived there so we could go back. 10 days wasn't nearly enough time!
yes the subscribed threads is the way to bookmark threads - u then can go back into your control panel and you can click on list subscriptions to see all the ones u are subscribed to
if you want notifications of when the subscribed threads have new posts you edit that in User Control Panel>Settings & Options>Edit Options then scroll down to Messaging & Notification and its there under Default Thread Subscription Mode

how funny! They lived at 2 Rock Lodge. I sent them A LOT of their stateside mail while they lived there, so i got very familiar with the address. Our friends actually took Tim and I's engagement picture/wedding picture (for the invitations) at...what's it called...some nearby ruins with an upper lake and lower lake...i totally can't remember the name right now.
Also if you would like to sort out your subscribed threads you can click the option below subscriptions called "Edit Folders". Add a folder and call it something like "bookmarked".
Then you can go to your subscriptions and move the threads you want to book mark into that folder.
To do this, select the thread via the tick box to the right of the title, and go to the bottom of the page where there is a drop down box with the option to "move to folder.." click GO, and then selected the folder from the drop down on the next page that loads
This folder is then accessed again by going to your subscriptions and there is a drop down menu at the top under Folder Controls/Jump to Folder which will allow you to change between your subscriptions folder and bookmarked folder.
