I've noticed that members have avatars underneath their usernames and also lovely logo/pictures (?) underneath their posts. Can someone please tell me how to do this as I would also like to have these. Or am I not allowed to? (read something about not being allowed to on the FAQ) Thank you!

you can browse a pic from your computer and use it as an avatar , just see it's less than 100 x 100 pixels
