Ok, on the other forum I belong to, since it is sooo big, and we don't think it's fair that only a few people get to vote for the pic of the month, everyone gets to vote! You wait until the contest closes and everyone sends thier vote to the poeple in charge of that section. You can not vote for your own dog and you can not vote more than once. Than the person that wins, gets to pick the next months contest theme. if anyone wants to see how it works just go to www.lab-retriever.net and check out the photo contest forum!!
Except for suggesting the next contest topic...that's how it used to be and it created a few problems since the only ones that seem to win were the puppies in all their cuteness...it wasn't fair for everybody else. The judges take in account the pic, the pose, the cuteness...all of the pic...and you can always ask to be a judge... I like it the way it is but that's just me.
on my other site dogs will all the time vs puppies.. but i guess it's your opinion, i encourage you to check out the thread though, you can see the past winners.

I think you're missing a word or two on your reply..it makes sense but I think is missing something and which past winners..this site or your other site? I know the ones on this site...a poll was taken to make the contest the way it is right now or to leave it the way you're suggesting and the majority of people voted to make it the way it is now..they were considering taking the whole monthly pic off altogether.

Love that!....sometimes i think the more popular you are on this forum the more votes you get for your dogpictures....hey i could be wrong
It has actually taken awhile to get it running smoothly and it's not always easy to do. There is more to it than it seems.
Stefania, in all honesty I don't think that is the case. When everyone is picked to be a judge (as you know ) I tell everyone to vote for who best fits the theme, not for who they are friends with the most. I sincerely hope our judges aren't doing that.
