Default Unable to Logon

Sometimes I have to try three or four times and then it logs me on. But when the screen flashes the box thanking you for logging on, I think those words are supposed to be in bold text but they aren't. And oftentimes, after seeing that screen and I go to the forum, I'm not logged on though it said I was.

Tonight I had to go to a thread (which I've done before this way) and hit the post reply button and then it said I needed to log on, I inut username/password and I still wasn't logged in. I did it again the same way and it worked.

I've got Internet Explorer on Vista. I've deleted temp files, etc. There's another site I use and that box in the upper corner never works on that site but they have another logon box that always works, but not that one in the upper right corner.

Hi Ihave2:

Do you click on the check box "remember me"?

Also, I've tried logging in with every browser known to the Internet and I cannot replicate the issue you are having. Most of the time, this means it's something on the user's end (i.e. your browser) and not a site issue.

I've clicked the remember me button, no difference. I've cleaned out all history on Internet Explorer and AOL both. I'll search and see if there's anything else I could clear on AOL. It took me several times again tonight and was from the larger box that pops up. It's strange that it'll have me as logged in at the top right usually but when I click to post I have to sign on again, over and over until it accepts it, for some strange reason. I've never had much luck with signing in at the top right.

Why would it not have the "Thank you for logging in ....." in bold text? Isn't it supposed to be bolded?

Today I've lost two posts due it my clicking the post quick reply and then said I wasn't logged in and it previously said I was. (I forgot to copy it before clicking.) It really shouldn't matter which one uses of these two choices, right? What's the difference anyway?

This isn't the same laptop that I was using before when I had problems.

This is a totally different laptop, older Compaq Presario with Firefox. I log on, respond and click, and it gives me the larger box (sometimes) saying I'm not logged in. Then the post is lost.

(Well, I'm editing this to say this post was accepted, no problem. I had used the Post Reply button.)

I've had the same issue logging on with IE on Vista. I just downloaded a different browser. I use Mozilla, and hubby uses Google Chrome. Both work great for us.
