Default Signature question.

I just saw the new rules about signatures.

I feel pretty silly, but I have to ask anyway. How do I find out how big my sig is? I don't have a clue whether or not mine is within the acceptable size or not, and when I went to my user cp page to see if I could figure that out, I just got completely bamboozled. There doesn't seem to be a way to know.

Suggestions?

You have a space of 600 x 300 to do with as you wish. If you right click on your sig and click on properties it will give you the size. Right now your siggy is 445 x 297 that is OK but you have 2 tickers or pita pata that are 400 x 80. So if you want to keep those you have to adjust your siggy to fit your tickers in that area as well. You can have one line of text in your space and you have 3 now so that will need to be adjusted.

Please don't feel silly at all.

Thanks for the info.

I'm on a Mac, I don't have a right-click button, so I don't know how to see the properties. I did remove two lines of text (I think) so I think that's OK now. And I did find a button in all the editing tools on my user page that said "decrease size" so I used that. But not being able to do a side-by-side comparison, I don't know if that made my photo smaller or not. Can you tell? Am I fine now?

I don't have a Mac (wish I did) but maybe someone will know the answer. You are still to tall with the 2 pita pata. My siggy is 500 x 200. With my blinkie it is 600x 200 so I would have room for 1 pita pata or 2 mini ones side by side.
Here is thread that goes over siggies with pita pata

How to know siggy size??

Tink:

As of this post, your signature does not adhere to the new rules. The main picture you have has a height of 297px. The pita pata images you have are 80px in height EACH.

If my math is correct, this gives you a total height of 457px in your signature which exceeds the 300 you will be allowed to have. Hope this helps.

Btw Tink,

There are many many methods to reducing your image in your signature. The most obvious choice for me would be to use photoshop but I understand not everyone has access to it. There are many free tools online to resize images. In your case, you should resize the HEIGHT of the image since it's the variable in this example that is causing you to go over the limit. By default, the width should automatically be resized in relation to the adjustment you make to the height of the image.

I can recommend some online tools if you don't have photoshop.

OK, please bear with me. I've reduced the lines of text, reduced the ticker sizes and content. I'm still trying to figure out the photo reduction thing. Can someone tell me how much more I need to reduce it? Or something? Chiadmin, the measurement information you gave me in your last post was helpful, because I still can't figure out how to determine properties, though I think I might have figured out a way to re-size. Sorry for the trouble.
