embeding video into a thread?

I noticde that some users are able to embed a code that links to a video
on youtube or facebook. It shows up in the thread as a clickable video box, not a link to the video.

I have some videos on facebook that I want to share, but when I paste the
code that facebook provides to embed the video, all I see is the code. No video box is displayed.

I only see the code, no video. My privacy for the video is set at "everyone"

Shouldn't the video show? or does html have to be turned on?

I did read all the FAQ and there is talk about posting pictures but not video

I know it can be done, cause in this thread the author was able to embed the video:

When I try, I only get the code to show.

I am not sure how others do it but I use photobucket for my videos as well as my pictures. I havent posted a video lately but if I remember correctly it popped up as a clickable box back then.
