Every dog is different. Some people don't like to advise holding the chicken as it can cause a dog to 'gulp' if they think that you are trying to take it away. Some dogs accept the help and will eat just fine if their owner is holding the chicken for them. Do what works for you at this early stage. Once she is used to eating well, then you can start weaning her to a towel and letting her eat for herself. Remember that bone is only 10% of the diet and that is very little. Ok to be bone heavy in the beginning but you will eventually just be doing bone-in meals a couple times a week to meet that requirement and the rest will be meaty meals.
