Angry Ahhh what is wrong with some people?!

Sorry to bring this sort of thing up, but I had to vent a little. I was looking at the infamous "banned site" earlier and came across a 7month old male chi with no papers at all needing a new home. The person is selling him because he/she bought him 3 weeks ago to breed with their female miniature pinscher but sadly (not so sadly in my opinion) the min pin does not like him at all.

If someone knows this person or this person is a member on here, they really need an educated read up on responsible ownership. This person clearly is not knowledgeable enough to own never mind breed any dog. Because of this person's lack of responsibility, this dog will now go through the trauma of being rehomed at 7 months old. I honestly believe that dogs do not just adapt to being moved between owners, it definitely affects them at some level.

That kind of attitude to breeding really grates on me, there are so many cross dogs and puppies in the pounds and rescue shelters that struggle to get homes. People like this are deliberately crossing two different breeds to make a profit because they think it's cute.

I honestly feel that this sort of thing will increase because of the designer dogs that are becoming so popular, people are catching on to the cute names they can make up by crossing two breeds. I realise the benefits of dogs like the cockapoo (cocker spaniel x poodle) for people who have allergies, but why not just buy a pedigree poodle? I know there's not much choice for people with allergies but at the same time, there are lots of people now breeding any two dogs that don't even have any benefits for people with allergies! A person I know through a friend recently bought a Jack Russel x Cocker Spaniel for 200, this is not a lot compared to Chi prices but you could easily find a dog like this at the rescue centre for the donation fee of 70! 200 per puppy from these "breeders" makes them a lot of money, especially for a dog that's not going to aid anyone with an allergy. It's an animal that I'm sure will bring a lot of love and happiness, but it's still also a cross being sold for a lot of money

The chi in the ad is a lovely looking dog, i'd give him a home in a minute if i could just to make sure the person doesn't succeed in their stupid quest.

I don't want this to end up a locked thread, so please don't think I'm stirring up trouble. I just had to share my frustration with people who care about the welfare of their dogs as much as I do. This kind of thing sickens me.

So far no need to lock I personally think that is the biggest problem that occurs when someone decides to go from loving the breed to being a breeder for $ It all changes & it's not about the love of the animal it's all about the $ To me I rather have a dog from a person who bred their pets than someone who only does it for the $

The thing is, I've never seen a UK ad that's annoyed me so much before. Sure you get the odd teacup mention, which is annoying, but now people here are breeding any two small breed of dogs and charging 600 or more. It's so unecessary

You could understand if it was an accidental one off litter, but at the same time surely they should have been more careful.

I love the Chihuahua breed and how they look, I can't imagine why anyone would want to endorse paying 600+ for a cross dog when they're are so many pedigree and cross pedigree dogs/puppies in rescue homes.

All the more reasons to go with a registered breeder I guess!
