Default Gone on a long holiday...

I'm visiting my family in Canada for the first time in 5 years! I arrived yesterday... and I miss my chi babies so much already!! It's so weird not having them stuck to me like glue 24/7. lol I was worried they would miss me too much seeing as I spend all day with them / they've never really been apart from me... but now I'm starting to think it will be me suffering from separation anxiety!

My boyfriend couldn't come with me so he stayed with the dogs. At least this way I know they're safe and don't have to spend the next 2 weeks worrying!

Have a fun visit! And you're probably correct, I am sure they miss us, but I think we miss them even more. When I moved my daughter back to college last month I spent 2 weeks in Texas with her while my chi baby was back home with daddy in California. As much as I missed her, I was determined and did have a great time. and when I returned melted my heart how happy she was to see me! It was the first I had left her and so happy it all went so well. My husband and I will be visiting her next month and leaving Corona with my grown son. He loves her dearly and she loves him right back. Although I know all will
Be well, I am already having irrational thoughts, just like last time! But I do know deep in my mind all will
Be fine! SO have a great holiday, enjoy your family, and know you'll have some happy pups when you return home!!

Awe. I've not had to leave mine yet. I'm sure your family is so happy to see you. 2 weeks would feel like an eternity!

Ah, you'll have a great time! Don't worry too much. Where, in Canada, are you visiting?

Thanks!! I know they'll be just fine with my boyfriend and seeing as I won't be there, he'll have all his time to spoil them. It's funny though because he told me yesterday that Rocky goes crazy and tries to run up to all women outside, as if looking for me. lol The longest I've ever left them was 2 nights so I bet they'll go crazy when I come home! And I know what you mean, even if you know it's going to be fine, you can't help but worry.

It does feel like eternity! I've only been here for 2 days and I already feel like it's been ages! I wish my boyfriend and the chis could have come with me. It's been so long since I moved away (12 years) and 5 years since I visited... I feel like I'm in a foreign place even though I was born and grew up here. But it is great to see my family!

Thanks! I'm in Quebec. Starting the trip in Montreal where my sister and one of my brothers live, but I'll be travelling to my hometown (a couple of hours away) after. It's so strange being back here! And now of course the time difference is messing me up so I'm awake in the middle of the night. lol
