You're so sweet to ask. Honestly, not well.
For a while it looked like the degeneration of those front leg ligaments and tendons that hold the joints erect had been halted with a variety of nutritional supplements and some physical therapy type exercises. Unfortunately, it seems to have just delayed what now appears to be an ongoing and inevitable process. One of his back legs has started to collapse at the joint...not badly, not yet, but it's becoming more and more obvious that this is just going to continue. I've been trying to ignore this obvious evidence for a while now, but I just can't anymore. It's happening whether I like it or not.
Tango continues to be his usual hyper, upbeat and entirely goofy self, in spite of the impact on his mobility which is beginning to become evident. So far, he appears pain free and relatively unaffected by this sickness. I'm praying that he remain so for as long as possible before the toll this is going to take on him leads to the deeply sad and inevitable decision that I'm going to have to make.
Meanwhile, I'm enjoying him to the fullest, taking lots of pics and videos, encouraging him to be as goofy as he wants to me, and reveling in whatever time I have left with him!
