Default What's up with this forum?

I haven't had time to come here much until lately and have been coming here more. Life has a way of getting in the way. I click on new post link and keep getting there are no new posts. It's hard to believe there isn't any new posts as I would think there's always replies to post and new post being started all the time unless there's just not as many people on this forum any more which would be sad cause I really enjoy seeing all the posts about the breed we all love so much. I also noticed there's a lot of new faces and don't see many of the old.

I agree that it has been slower here. But I have to wonder if the "see new posts" thingy isn't working (because there HAVE been new posts - I just posted a new thread yesterday!) and that is why members aren't coming over or clicking through to see for themselves if there are new posts. Weird.

I also miss the frequent posts here. I have only been here a year but I find it my favourite forum to visit.

Yea, I used to get tons of emails every time someone made a posts or would reply. Now I just get a very few. Seems like I'm not getting emails for some reason.

Things are definitely quiet, but they seem to be on all forums atm (I am active on some non dog related forums as well, and all are pretty dead right now)
The 'New Posts' shortcut works for me, on the lap top. if there are no new posts it takes me to the link for all posts made in the last 24 hours, as it should.
How are you accessing the site Lisa?

Laptop. I also click on New Posts and get the message "No new Posts" so I scrolled down to the bottom of the page and click on Chat or something.

I am on a number of different forums for my various interests, and I also have my own private website of a group of friends (30 or so) who I stay in touch with via the site.

I've noticed that over the summer months things slow way down on all the forums I'm on....except for the gardening forum lol! That one speeds WAY up because this is the gardening season so there's lots of activity there. But other than that, all the other forums get less active, I think because folks are just out and about doing stuff while the weather is nice.

I mean, lets face it, there's so much more to do in the summer months than there are in the winter months. I guess all I'm saying is the slowdown isn't just exclusive to this forum...I'm seeing it in many others too.
