Default Non-puppy spaying - personality changes?

Hello - it's been a while since I posted

Halle is nearly two and a half and I'm still deciding whether to get her spayed or not. I know I've asked about the pro and cons of spaying in general when she was younger, but now I'd like to ask about a specific area - personality change!

Has anyone had an older female spayed and noticed personality changes afterwards?

I used to show my dogs and they couldn't be desexed until they retired. I have never seen any changes with my girls.

Neutering will only change behaviours that are hormone driven.

Thank you Wicked Pixie - I remember in a conversation to you a year or so ago that my Cocker Spaniel seemed to get moodier after her adult spay. I have read some people commenting that some of their boys seem a bit more nervous and snappy with other people soon afterwards (whether that is a temporary effect, I wasn't sure).

Halle is so puppyish still, so full of energy and very affectionate and happy - which is a delight to be around! I wondered if spaying her would make her act in a more middle-aged way (I've heard people saying spaying is the equivalent of plunging them into the Human menopause).
