Default Smoker keeping chihuahua

Hi I am smoker and I am living with my 1 year and 7 months old boy in a condo. I do smoke but I never smoke in my unit and I never smoke beside my boy when I am out with him so I go down stair and do it outside at the smoking area of my building then I wash my hand with soup every time before I touch my boy. My question is did I still harm him because sometimes the smell will go on to my cloths and is it safe to touch him even after I washed my hand? I dont smoke that much just like five ciggs a day.

If he sensitive to smoke, he'd be sneezing when you come back in from smoking. I also smoke. I go outside and my chi follows me out there to be with me. I make sure the smoke doesn't get in her face or around her. I know my clothes and breath stink, but it hasn't affected her in any way. It's honorable that you think of the little things to keep you baby safe. You're a good chi mom.

I think you will still have particles of chemicals and smoke in your hair, skin and on your clothes for a while afterwards. They give this advice about people who don't smoke near their babies too. I think you sound very considerate in what you are doing, but the best thing for you and your boy would be to try and give up.

I smoked and still had my crew but like you I did not smoke in my house.

Just a bit of advice I have not had a cig since March. I started to vape. I found a store where they guy use to smoke three packs a day and quit by vaping. He has led me in the right direction and I have cut my nicotine in half. A vape doesn't produce smoke but water vapor. It has the same chemicals as a nebulizer with added flavor and nicotine. I feel better, worry less, and I am slowly cutting my nicotine levels so no side effects, cheaper and I love it. I still don't vape in my house but you might want to look into it if you are thinking about quitting
