Default Dogs getting along after having major fights

Buddy Bear and Jojo have been fighting each other for about 7 or 8 months.
They were put on a schedule that would result in less fighting and have them be more comfortable.
My brother will take care of my dogs
He has been able to successfully open the kennel door and have Jojo quickly run to the backyard and open the kennel door for Buddy Bear and carry him. With no fighting, they've only done it with him. He carries him to the Kennel run because they have to be separated but they were doing good sharing the yard.
Yesterday my brother said that he wasn't paying close attention and Jojo happened to be in the kennel run and he put down Buddy Bear in the run. He said they smelled each other and turned in opposite directions no barking or fighting.
Today be has sent me a picture and video of the dogs in the backyard Jojo laying and Buddy Bear sitting right next to each other (not being separated by the run) Which is pretty amazing from how bad they would fight.

My questions:
How should I go about this.
Should I continue letting them be with each other if they continue getting along?
When I let them in the house should I allow one at a time or just pick up Buddy Bear and let Jojo walk in?

Biggest issue:
They might just be acting different with my brother since the dogs are very protective over me. As soon as I get there they might start fighting. Should I only allow them to be together when it's only my brother home?

Ari, you are right on. They are probably 'resource' guarding YOU. Be careful when you get them home. There are good books about resource guarding out there, if you want to research it.

Okay but does that mean 100% they do have the ability of getting along or does one time mean nothing? I will research into it but I would like to know at least that so I can really look into it.
When I got home they still were together in the backyard. I actually followed my brother outside. I completely ignored them because I believe if I were to start petting them and talk to them in a baby voice it would increase the chance of them fighting. So I literally walked and ignored them and me and my brother started talking, not dog related as I didn't want to start stressing out.
Then once they walked away from me I turned my head and they both were just next to each other.
Then my brother called both of them and picked up Buddy Bear and opened the door and walked inside Jojo following. And not one growl or fight.
I wanna work on this but I also feel like I will always be the problem and maybe I can't change it

Ari, I still think that you have two dogs who MAY restart their fighting ways. Just be careful. Your dogs were with you AND your brother, so you were not alone with them. I wish and hope things will be better between them----

Last night they were separated by the fence, I walked by and they had a small scuffle (barking/growling)
Minutes later they were sharing the yard just fine, let them both in the house carrying Buddy Bear and they were completely fine.
Today in the morning Jr and Sunshine were in the kennel run and Jojo the yard. Sunshine and Jr escaped and Jr and Jojo did so good getting along right in front of each other faces. I've noticed Jojo and Jr do a bit better together then Jojo and Buddy Bear.
Buddy Bear and Jojo also did fine together in the backyard in the morning
I know their is a high chance of them fighting again but I will continue let them socialize with each other until another fight happens.
I also looked up the resource guarding but supposedly dogs rarely do it over a human. But I will continue to look into it

Should I let Jojo socialize with both dogs or just Buddy Bear? I never planned on doing it with Jr but they seem to be doing so good now, I also know that can change in a second.

Ari, Go ahead and try. Have a hose or water or noise maker nearby, just in case. How did you break up a fight before? Stay as calm as you can while going about your business. Don't pay attention to them--- just observe.

All morning Jojo and Jr were in the kennel run. They did fairly well (there was a small scuffle, they fixed it among themselves)
I haven't put Jojo and Buddy Bear together today and I won't today. But it seems like progress has been made.

So glad things are looking up for you and your pups! Keep a close eye on Sunshine for signs of being in heat, as I am sure you are used to doing. I would be more cautious putting the boys together when she is in heat, but hopefully you all can keep making progress!
