Default too quiet!

Boy is it hot in Chicagoland. We've had tempertures in the 90's since last Saturday. I really dislike heat. I always say there is no limit to what you can put on in the winter, but there is certainly a limit as to what you can take off in the summer (at least for me!). I have been wearing a 'float dress' since Saturday.

My two dogs don't go out, and I hate to shut the doors, as they love to watch the neighbors, cars and such out the front door.

My dog with heart problems (Emmie) is doing OK. I watch her, and so far she is handling the heat. Panting some, but can sleep Ok. I can not even think about the puppy mill dogs in this kind of heat.

I miss having all you post stuff about your pups!

I agree! Much too quiet! This was once such a happening place! How are you two doing? I'm down to 8 chihuahuas, one very old terrier mix with a bad heart, Bouncer the lab mix that loves the Chis, and just acquired a American bulldog and Sasha, the border collie mix from my daughter after her landlord said no more dogs at her apartment. I'm in Bakersfield again at the moment, but working on going back to my property soon as my dad died and my brother is going to need his house back. I hope you, and your dogs and other animals, are doing well!

I'm glad Emmie is doing well Susan.

I haven't been active in a while either. I tend to become "obsessive" when it comes to certain things. Especially with the dogs. And so I just needed a break away and not that its the forum but I just needed to take a break from it "all"

But all my dogs are okay at the moment. Authority changed it's packaging (Jr & Jojo eats it) and I'm hoping they didn't change none of the ingredients. Buddy Bear been eating dog biscuits for breakfast as he refuses kibble. Which I'm not sure if it's healthy but I don't give him anymore throughout the day. Plus he's on the thin side so 4- 9 calorie biscuits won't hurt him.

And personally I've been trying to eat better (specifically for breakfast and lunch) instead of eating a fast food breakfast sandwich I'm eating yogurt and granola. Which seriously taste good lol and also eating fresh fruit with a PBJ sandwich instead of a candy bar. It's honestly not too expensive but it feels more time consuming.

Good for you Ari. It is hard making a change in diet habits some times.

Thank you. I've considered being vegetarian but I'd have to wait until after I'd move out with my parents since their all heavy meat eaters. Plus I don't necessarily "want to" but sometimes the thought of how animals are treated are tough. But I'd be able to let the meat go but chicken is literally my favorite.
And as of organic I've also thought about it but it's more expensive and I've never really haven't dove enough research if it's actually "better" and worth the price.
