A friend of mine co-chairs a local civic organization that had their annual fundraiser bazaar today, including a flea market.
(Me to Mini: "Shall we go to the market and buy a flea?"
Husband: <rolls eyes and laughs> )
I did bring Mini to the event, and she got to meet a bunch of other doggies whose people did the same.
Anyway, I've been wondering what to do about getting a sweater for Mini. Philadelphia gets pretty cold in the winter, and I don't want her to be uncomfortably cold when we go on walks at that time of year.
I didn't even notice that one of the flea market vendors had a small doggie sweater. But at the end of the day, I was sitting on a bench with Mini next to me, and said vendor approached with the sweater. "Do you think this will fit your dog?" It did look like the right size, and I asked him how much it would be. "Just take it. I'm closing up for the day and I'm throwing out anything I didn't sell."
Sure enough, it's a perfect fit. So now she has a little pink sweater for the cold weather. It even has a matching scarf, though I might or might not opt to use it.
So I bless that nice vendor, wherever he is, for opting to give away an item when he saw someone with a little dog that might be able to use it. That was good of him.
