Default Chihuahua Measurements

Hi everyone!

I am going to try making a few bits and pieces while we are waiting for our arrival next winter but I have no idea about the measurements!
I would like to make a couple of bits for when she is a tiny pup as it is very cold in Scotland during the winter months so what would the measurements be for, say, a 10 week old + chi? We will hopefully be getting a small puppy that will be likely to grow to around 3lbs.
I.e.. neck, chest, bottom of neck to tail, underarm to underarm?

Thanks in advance

That will be a very tiny size to start out with. It may help to look at dog clothing sites and look at the sizing charts can't really go by the pounds and measurements since all dogs are, different shapes. KC is almost 8 months old now and her chest grew a bunch but neck is small. She's a 12 chest 8 neck and 10 length. And she's 4 lbs.

Thank you lovely. Yes I thought it would be difficult not having my chi yet to take measurements from. I just don't want to bring her home and to be frozen stiff with the cold and I can't really afford to buy. I will have a look on clothing sites now.

Default Chihuahua Sizing

There is a video on YouTube that tells you how to make small dog clothes out of socks. It is a good way to have clothes when they are little and they are growing so fast and so you have clothes available when they come home

It is a really cute idea and you can even use the toe of the sock as a hat for the chi. Jaxx had several sock outfits when he was small.

Thanks guys! It makes much more sense to make cheap and simple for puppies who will outgrow them in a matter of weeks!
